Youth Programs
A safe haven and supportive environment for inner city youth and young adults
Youth Programs That Inspire
At Ring of Hope Boxing Club, we are passionate about empowering young people through structured programs that foster discipline, confidence, and resilience. Designed for kids and teens, our youth programs provide a safe environment where participants can develop both physically and mentally, with a focus on personal growth, mentorship, and support.
Youth Programs
Youth Program
Our Youth Program is the cornerstone of our youth outreach. Running Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, it offers a secure and welcoming environment for kids ages 8-14.
This program goes beyond fitness, teaching young people how to handle peer pressure, develop a sense of belonging, and build positive habits. Through structured boxing instruction, mentoring, and group activities, participants gain skills that extend far beyond the ring, including teamwork, focus, and self-confidence.
Note: The After-School Program follows the Schenectady School District calendar. There are no sessions on holidays, vacations, or snow days. Summer schedules may vary.

In School Programs
We bring the benefits of fitness boxing, fun and mentorship directly to students with our In-School Programs, currently offered at 3 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and Schenectady High School gym classes. SHS students can also participate in our “Peaceful Warriors” after school program, designed to instill positive habits and resilience, with a heavy focus on accountability and good choices.
Through partnerships with local schools, these programs provide a structured outlet for students to develop critical life skills like discipline, anger management, and self-control while improving their physical fitness.
Special Offer: Schenectady High School students are welcome to attend Ring of Hope free of charge.

Summer Youth Program
Recap of 2025
Each summer, we modify our youth programming in an effort to keep our mini champs engaged in different activities and gaining experiences they may not otherwise have the opportunity for. This summer, we held three mini camps. First up was our Basketball/Chess/Boxing camp week. The kids spend their afternoons at different parks in Schenectady, as well as at the gym, enjoying learning time, game time, work time and even pool time! It was HOT that week!
Next up was Adventure Camp week! We traveled to local destinations such as Peebles Island for a hike; Snowman Ice Cream for a treat; Adirondack Animal Land for some jungle fun; Collins Park for the splash pad; Congress Park in Saratoga for spring water tasting and carousel rides; Ben & Jerry’s for a treat; Blueberry picking in Schuylerville; and a water park to finish the week off right!
The third was Sparring Camp right here at the Ring Of Hope! Our mini champs WORKED HARD!! They had to dig deep to find the strength and endurance to experience training and sparring at the next level!!
We had a great summer here at the ROH and are also happy to be back to regular youth programming!!
